So I had what I thought was this brilliant idea to have 5 matching dresses made for the five Matthews girl cousins that all live down here in TX. It was adorably cute, but trying to get five tiny girls to all sit still and be happy for pictures was quite a circus. Oy, vey!
I don't know how, where or why, but Hadley came sauntering into the kitchen the other day with a new fad in head gear. She looked to cute to resist so I had to snap a few pics!
Today is my sister-in-law Melissa's birthday and her daughter Malina's birthday. I wanted to wish them a happy happy day. And of course display the presents I made for them!
My sweet, beautiful and wonderful mother has a birthday on Monday! I'm so thankful for her and all she has done for me. This gift seems like not nearly enough to tell her how much I love her. But I think they are some of my favorite dishcloths to date. I love you momma! I'm so proud of you and I hope you have a fabulous birthday!
Here is one of the biggest reasons for my blogging "absence". Every year when I go to get out our Christmas things, I am highly disappointed by our stockings. I tell myself after every Christmas, that I'm going to make stockings for next Christmas, and then I forget until I pull out the Christmas things again. This year I decided that I was going to make two stockings a month, starting at the beginning of the year so that they would be ready. I'm glad I planned to start in January, because I didn't start until the end of March. I had decided not only to make stockings for everyone in our family, but for my single friend and her four kids as well. Their stockings are more pathetic than ours are! So here, without further ado, are Emily's, Julia's and Zachary's stockings. At last my soul has peace!
It was hilarious. Hadley was sitting in her chair and Emily walked by her to get something and Hadley just grabbed her and started kissing on her and hugging her. Then she started sticking her finger in her mouth. I wonder if there is dentistry in her future?
I was so excited, I have been waiting for this blessed day. On Monday I was finally able to pull Hadley's hair into two piggy tails. She looked adorable!
These are the result of a three session knitting class that I took at a local yarn store. I am SO happy that I am now able to knit. I've tried for years and just could not figure it out all by myself. I absolutely LOVE these dishcloths. They clean dishes better than anything I have EVER used. I plan on making about a bajillion more!
I have been blessed with the ability to stay at home with my fabulous five children. We try our best each day to be happy, faithful, and be a little bit better than we were the day before.
