Momma's necklace

I made a necklace like this for my mom awhile ago. Sadly, it got destroyed by adoring grandbabies. So here is her replacement! I just made one for my friend with dark grey, dark purple and cream. I wish I would have snapped a photo, because I love the colors she chose. Maybe I'll convince her to let me take a picture and post it later!

Mom's purse

I took an existing pattern and altered it to get a design I think my momma would like the most. It was kind of frustrating. The whole time I was thinking to myself, "This is not working!" I have to admit that I am totally thrilled with how it turned out! I think it's amazing. I even devised a lining of fabric with three pockets to go inside. And I decided to attatch the lining with snaps so that the entire lining could be taken out and washed when it gets dirty (like all of us ladies know is inevitable)! I want my momma to know how much I love her, and that I know this is a hard time in her life. I hope that every time she looks at her purse she remembers how much she is loved!

Cousin Darwin

Due to the gianormous amount of cousins my husband and I both have, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone did something really cool. Now, I must pause here to tell all my cousins that I think they are ALL really cool! Scott's cousin Darwin Barney was just called up the the majors! He plays shortstop for the Chicago Cubs. Since the Texas Rangers and the Cubs are in different leagues, they don't play each other. So, we drove down to Houston to see the Cubs play the Astros! It was awesome to watch Darwin do his thing, he really is a great baseball player, and he was so sweet to my kiddos. He got and signed for them each a game ball! Thanks Darwin, we wish you all the luck in the world next season!

Sisters

I was just caught by how much Haddie and Emma look alike. So I decided to snap some photos. They were actually hugging like this and that's what made me stop and think that they looked so much alike. Of course, I had to go get the camera, so the actual photos are staged. Then Julia had to get into the action.

Sleepyhead

I can't believe the positions little kids fall asleep in sometimes. She must have been absolutely worn out!
